JVM detection on webiste

I would like to have an applet that recognizes the jvm version of my visitor on my website.
Could you help me with that???

I don't normally work with applets, but the following line provides the VM version in appletviewer (I don't know if there will be a permission problem inside a web page):

String versionString = System.getProperty("java.vm.version");

This will provide the VM version for the client machine.  Is this what you want?
