We are using our own DOS based communication software between our PSTN networks. In the software's console mode I can type modem commands. In earlier days if I type AT in the console, after few seconds the modem will start auto answering and connects with the remote modem. but recently some thing went wrong and the modem is not answering automatically. I have to type ATA manually every time to connect with the remote modem. Tell me how to configure the modem to autoanswer..? where I can get the explanations for modem commands..??
