progress bar and appearing button

i have a jsp page that waits for the database to be updated 1st before it goes to the other page.
i have thought of putting a progress bar that last for let's say about 25 sec. after 25 sec, the NEXT button must show up so that the user can click on it and go to the next page.
is there a javascript code where i can display this progress bar? and after 25 sec shows a full status of the progress bar and the next button.
i'm looking forward for your answer.thanks a lot.

Try this: http://javascript.internet.com/navigation/charging-link.html. It is a charging link, you have to hover over the link for a defined amount of seconds before it will let you follow the link. If you click it before it is charged you get an alert message.

* In fact you can make it so that when it is charged it automatically redirects you to the second page.
