idiots guide to flash

Hi, im a beginner at flash MX and i want to make an interactive movie (a movie with alternative paths) in flash.
is it possible to do it without the use of active scripts? what is the simplest way of doing this? ( or any website regarding this )

ok..i figured that one already,...but now i have another question..is there a way to change the delay's between frames? say between frame 1 and 2 the delay is 2 seconds, but between frame 2 and frame 3 the delay is 10 seconds. is it possible? because i cant find the delay option anywhere

do this for each frame:
stop();
// set a value for the delay
time = 500;
// need to give the delay an ID so we can clear it later
delay = setInterval(proceed, time);
function proceed() {
      // clear the interval
      clearInterval(delay);
      // go next frame - or whatever you want to happen here
      gotoAndPlay(_currentframe+1); // or any skip to frame method
}
