I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

are you using an HTML editor like Dreamweaver?  If so, just set up a new html page, and use the detection kit in the splash page.  There are directions included with the detection kit.

Ah,

Maybe it would be better to just include the Current Flash Player in the prog, and execute that first at runtime.  I don't know the first thing about vb.net, but the detection kit would require an internet connection.

Actually, I think the RegKey is this:
   HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000}

In VB.NET there is a place you can check run other programs, but it doesn't do it till after you run your regular program.  But there is a place you can check for a registry entry to see if it is loaded.  I haven't tried this key yet, but it's suppose to be the flash key.

Okay,  let me know if you have any problems down the road and I'll ask someone that's proficient in VB.NET to take a look for you.
