NOT ENOUGH STORAGE IS AVAILABLE IN THE "UDF_MEM" HEAP

Hi,
 I hit error below,
SQLSTATE=57011 NOT ENOUGH STORAGE IS AVAILABLE IN THE "UDF_MEM" HEAP TO PROCESS STATEMENT

Any solutions? guess need to increase ''UDF_MEM". How to increase then?

Thanks in advance,

Well, this looks very common in the DB2 world as this dbms is so hard to define its memory usage.
The parameter which define this UDF_MEM heap is a DBM parameter named UDF_MEM_SZ
==> To modify it, open a db2 command line processor and issue:
          UPDATE DBM CFG USING UDF_MEM_SZ=512
You can as well modify it from the ControlCenter using "Configure" menu on your instance.
Whatever the case, you need to stop (db2stop) and restart (db2start) your instance for this new param to be effective.

I think you can check the db2diag.log of your instance BEFORE increasing this parameter as increasing this parameter may not be the good choice if your memory low problem comes from a too big use of memory for private sort (for example)...

Hope this helps.
