Explorer like bar

Hi All

I am trying to make the following

it will be a little hard to explain so bare with me,

I am tring to make a bar like the window explorer start bar,

a form that is always visiable in one end of the screen (left or right) and after this form was hook to the desktop

any new window that I maximize will maxime to the new boundries of the desktop (the desktop minus the width of the form)

Any Ideas?
