How to stop NDR been created for spam emails

Friends !!
Please help...

I am running Exchange 2k and also running GFI MailEssentials on SMTP level. Spammers tried to connect to our server and they kicked back based on spaming words and black list set up in MailEssentials. but many mails go through and kicked back again by Exchange server and send NDR.

(MailEssentials is not generating NDR and I did not chose the option)..

NDR are going in hundreds (Probably thousands) and is eating up Queue speed. Is there anyway I stop creating NDR for these emails...

Please help....

I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Go to ur ESM\global settings\internet message formats\default properties page\advanced and uncheck allow non-delivery reports
and then restart ur server.
It is not a good idea to stop NDR but what good is it to have a dead
server. It is up to u to decide  what is best for u.This is a temporay
solution but will not affect ur mail flow untill u come up with a better solution or product that will take care of ur spam.

Thanks. But i forgot to mention when u uncheck that option it will only affect ur internet emails.Internal emails that generate NDR will
be generated and sent internally.Good luck.
