Apollo UPS Serial Link

I have an Apollo UPS (1075E/750VA). It didnt come with any software or information on linking it up to my computer.

I'm interested in linking it to my linux box and was wondering if anyone had knowledge of the cable or software required.

The vendor's site would be the best place to start...
they may have more than the basic "ups is on battery"

The simplest implementain is that when the UPS goes on battery, pins on it's serial port go high or low or a relay closes contacts on a vendor specific connector, RJ type plug, screw terminals, etc.

Software on the PC monitors the serial port and take user defined action; close everything and shut down in X minutes, send an email to the administrator,  play TAPS.MP3, etc.
