Including SQLCE in install package
ARGH!
I have a eVB 3.0 application running on a IPAQ 3950 .. The program REQUIRES SQLCE and some scanner files from Symbol..
How come when I create install packages, SQLCE NEVER INSTALLS TO A WORKING LEVEL? I have to be missing something..
Right now, I am trying a third party install creator (e-pocketsetup.com) to create install packages, and yet, I get the same problems..
The following files ARE making it to the device:
adoce31.dll
adocedb31.dll
adoceoledb31.dll
adosync.dll
adoxce31.dll
MSCEFILE.DLL
MSCEDILE.DLL
mscewinsock.dll
msdadc.dll
msdaern.dll
msdaosp.dll
I have to MANUALL move these files over for SQLCE to work, otherwise I get an ADO cannot find provider error:
RSAENH.DLL
SSCE10.dll (why would my project NOT take this one?!)
ssceca10.dll
sscecw10.dll
ssceinet.dll
sscesock
DLLREGISTER.exe (to which I have to click on that FROM the device to register the DLL's properly, or again, it doesnt work)
What's the friggen trick here? I can have e-pocketsetup install the additional files, but I just cant imagine that everyone in the world has to go through this?!
Someone help me before I report how far these devices can fly when tossed by a worn out developer! :)
Thanks!
