"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Yes, once you setup your samba service correctly, you can login from M$ windoz and in your windoz browser you can find the linux box and the shared folder for you to access. and the 1st url have the procedure to setup the samba server, also have the sample config files you can learn.

For login there is many way, once is setup the username in the samba server (linux box) with useradd and smbpasswd, or using your win2k as a login server. once the login setting make good you can login from your any windoz and access the linux server.
