when i want to create a new object ( host )

do i need to choos a node or a regular checkpoint object ?

victorbx,
you need to create a simple node or a simple gw (depending on whether the machine you're creating has 1 or more interfaces). In most cases you just create a node anyway, because fw doesn't need to know about the other interface.
