Nonconsistent FrontPage Server Error

I am using FrontPage 2002 on Windows XP Pro. All of my FrontPage webs on my computer are using IIS 5.1 and server extensions 4.0.2.6513.

Just today, about half of my web sites are giving an error when attempting to create a new file or save a changed file:

Server error: Cannot create file "filename.htm"

I looked at the server permissions and they appear to be the same for all web sites. I restarted IIS and reinstalled extensions multiple times but to no avail. Any ideas of what might be wrong?

Hi,

Try to uninstall the extensions before reinstalling them.

I think there is something wrong in the permissions too.

Uninstalling extensions worked. I still can't figure out why some webs were affected and others weren't but it works now. Thank you very much.
