That is my problem but unfortunately the Windows 2000 Server fix requires me to right click on rsm.inf. &nbsp;There is no rsm.inf in Windows XP only a rsm.exe.

I am trying to backup using a tape drive but my Removable Storage service which is set to automatic won't start.<br />
<br />
When I try to start it manually I get the message:<br />

&quot;The Removable Storage Service on Local Computer started then stopped&quot;<br />
<br />
The only dependancy is the Remote Procedure Call (RPC) which is functioning correctly.<br />

Removable Storage service won't start
