Changing template file extensions

Hi, I'm trying to change the file extension for template HTML files from .htm to .html but I'm unable to do so as the option is greyed out (under Preferences, New Document). I've tried reading the help file & going through the MMDocumentTypes.xml file in C:\Program Files\Macromedia\Dreamweaver MX\Configuration\DocumentType without success.

Have you checked here

http://www.macromedia.com/support/dreamweaver/ts/documents/add_ext_mx.htm

Make sure you are the administrator having full access to dreamweaver

Hi Sunray,

I've managed to get what I want from the support page from Macromedia. Thanks.
