Duplicate messages listed in OE

I use OE to retrieve my Hotmail email.  I know microsoft says it's beta, and they don't support it, etc, but it's really convenient.  Anyway, it's not important, just irritating:  whenever I download a message less than, oh, about 12 hours old, it is listed twice in my Hotmail inbox (but only in OE, not if I go to hotmail.com and log in).  I can move them around individually, etc, as if they were separate messages, but they consist of the same text.  I'm sure it's not just the person sending the message twice, because this has been going on for about two months, from a myriad of senders.
It's probaby a bug in hotmail's outlook .asp interface, but does anyone know of a way to fix it?

heronblademaster,

You probably have a corrupt POP3UIDL.DBX file.Close OE and delete that file. It will be recreated when you re-open OE. One more download to get pop3uidl.dbx up to date (OE uses this file to keep track of what has already been downloaded), and you should be right.

Also, if you have more than one email account on the same POP3 server (same ISP, different names) then keep on server will not work because of a known OE bug.
