Embedded salary advice

Hello, how much is a reasonable amount to expect when seeking a job in Embedded Development.  I am fresh out of school grad school.  Please tell me location and reasonable amount to expect as starting salary.

Depends on location...  but probably $45000 -- $65000

for Northern Virginia probably more like $50000 - $60000

also depends on your experience and if you have any other background in Communications or DSP

I'm sorry, I forgot about this question.  Jrocnuck, thanks for your answers.  They turned out to be helpful.

harishg2, to answer your interestingly spelled question...  I am a MS Computer Science grad.  I was being considered for a job in Maryland as an embedded specialist.  I can handle logic, programming, problem solving, handling people, etc.  However, I have no experience in embedded development, yet.

In case you are curious, I found one in the $66K range.  However, in this part of the country, that much money is worth 5-10K less than it would be elsewhere.  Expensive place to live!
