Are you getting any particular error? Or just an empty dataset?  Also, where did you get this Pivot Table Control?

I am using OWC 9.0.

I can see the control in the page but I never could connect it to a database.

Check your code, you should have saved your pivot table as xml and then saved to web server. You code should load the OWC object from the xml file on the web server. I would bet it works from winform app because it can load the xml file from you local box.

Not sure which OpenStack Certification to get?

So you’ve realized you might want to get certified in OpenStack, but you’re not sure what the benefits might be or even which one you should take. You know there are several certification courses you can choose from, but how do you know which one is right for you?

These are the steps that I did-

I drag the pivot table control into my aspx page. Remember I am talking owc version 9, (because the version 10 works ok). But I see all the top controls greyed, for that I cant connect to my database.

I have worked with owc 10 before, but not 9.

You last comment makes sence to me i believe. When you drag the object on to the page, the HTML that is created is just an object tag. The control will need to be configured to create or load a speadsheet. This can come from web server or local hard disk, depending on your code. So the controls being greyed out seems to make sence. Is there a sheet loaded in 9 by default?

csmith12 ...

I can give another clue, if I select the windows application instead of web application it works too.

I can increase the points to you ... if you have time, can you try with the version 9, I am sure you have it installed in your machine.. only add the control in your tool box and tell me...if you can, why is imposible to connect the pivot woth the database..

OK... i CAN WAIT...

I'LL INCREASE THE POINT FOR YOU IF YOU CAN DETERMINE IF IS POSIBLE TO USE OWC 9.0 WITH VISUAL STUDIO FOR WEB APPLICATIONS.

THANKS IN ADVANCE.
