I Use CR9 for reports and CE standard to distribute reports via an IIS virtual folder.  Reports are called via asp.

the reports are called using the IIS folder path

http://servername/virtual directoryreportnam.rpt

I already add the string ?init=actx so that the reports are vieved in the activex viewer, not the default DHTML.  Because the reports are unmanaged and are viewed using the guest account the enterprise settings are not used so i cant use the enterpise settings to turn the group tree off.

I believe that is also possible to add another string to the report name so that it turns the group tree off, does anyone know what it is>

many thanks

not directly through url i am afraid. i think you could take the smartvieweractivex.asp, provide the viewer object with the url as report source. you can then set a property of the viewer in asp to hide the grouptree. i am not sure though about the specific name, could be hasGroupTree, showGroupTree, enableGroupTree, hideGroupTree, hasGroupTree...  Sorry, something along those lines...

In CR 7 it was EnableGroupTree and DisplayGroupTree
