The HP System/ Application disk should have a decoder on it if the system came with the DVD.<br />
Failing that if you go to the HP website &gt;&nbsp;support &gt;&nbsp;download drivers &amp;&nbsp;software &gt;<br />
to gain access to the relevant downloads we need to know the OS &amp;&nbsp;model # of the notebook<br />

The notebook came with Win98, but I wiped that out and installed Win 2k Pro.<br />
As I said, the system came without any supporting software. &nbsp;I found drivers for everything else on the HP web site, but not for the DVD decoder.<br />
FYI, it is an Ominbook XE3 GC.
