Where can I get free/cheap DVD decodersoftware?

Hi all

I got my HP Omnibook XE3 notebook with a DVD drive, but it came without a DVD decoder, so I can't watch any DVDs on it.

Can somebody please recommend a DVD decoder that I can install, so I can watch my movies?

Thanks,
Shaul

Hi saulbehr,
What OS did the notebook come with XP?
The HP System/ Application disk should have a decoder on it if the system came with the DVD.
Failing that if you go to the HP website > support > download drivers & software >
to gain access to the relevant downloads we need to know the OS & model # of the notebook

The notebook came with Win98, but I wiped that out and installed Win 2k Pro.
As I said, the system came without any supporting software.  I found drivers for everything else on the HP web site, but not for the DVD decoder.
FYI, it is an Ominbook XE3 GC.

check out http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/11/2/1/ as well, there are a number of shareware DVD players there.
