Hello,

What is the way to organize many layers in order that when your mouse is over the first one it becomes on the first plan and when your mouse is over the second one, the first layer become on the backside and the second one on the first plan... and so on fot the remainig layers...

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Hi there. What you're refering to is levels rather than layers. Layers are what's in your timeline and these cannnot be switched at run time, however you can assign various components such as movieclips, buttons etc to various levels and using code you can arrange them according to your own needs.

on (rollOver) {
this.swapDepths(100);
}

the above code is a very simple example, that when the mouse rolls over the movieclip where the code is attached, the movieclip will be sent to level100.

instead of specifying the level, you can also refer to another movieclip, then those 2 movieclips will swap their respective levels.
