I am trying to open an Excel document that was created on a Windows workstation using Office 2000 with all updates installed. I am using Mac OS X with Office X. When I open the document, it is blank. How do I resolve this problem.

Hi dmoore2,
I make these kind of file transfers all the time without a hitch. I believe the file format is identical.

On the Office X side, is the data completely missing (not visible in the formula bar)--or merely invisible. If the latter, then you could change the font color or background pattern.

If the data is completely missing, then try saving the file as a .htm (on the Windows 2000 workstation). Excel X should be able to open that up without a problem. Basically I am suggesting you follow the instructions on recovering data from a corrupted workbook--see http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;179871

Cheers!
