IE 6.0.2800 cannot download pdf files...

Hi!

When I try to download a file, such as PDF, using Internet Explorer 6, I get the following error: Internet Explorer cannot download...
Internet Explorer was not able to open this internet site.

Is there a way to fix this?

Dear TrueBlue,

Try repairing or reinstalling to see if that would help

Repair IE :
-----------

Start > Run rundll32 setupwbv.dll,IE6Maintenance "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\Setup\SETUP.EXE" /g

or

Start > Run rundll32.exe setupapi,InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 C:\windows\inf\ie.inf

Reinstall IE:

Try opening IE

go to tools --> internet options --> security (tab)

click on Internet and press "custom level)

scroll down and see if you have enabled "file download"

Also make sure you have disabled firewall or pop-up blocker
