exporting from fireworks to dreamweaver

hi
i have a image in my fireworks window to which i aded a pop up window mow
i cannot insert it to the dreamweaver file because it doesn't want to work when  i insert it
the pop up menu doesn't want to work
i tried in fireworks
save as .png and insert it as an image to the site
save as .jpg and insert it as an image to the site
save as .gif and insert it as an image to the site
i tried to exportt it as an image only and i tried to use export prewiev can anybody help me i need it right now thanks

goto:

File>export >html and images

Export your file as an .htm format.  In dreamweaver choose:

Insert>Fireworks html

And select your file.

What version of FW/Dreamweaver are you using?
 

You have to export as .htm
