Hi,
Place a TreeviewCntl from MFC dialog based window  and add events by using Class Wizard select the NM_RClick event handler. The wizard adds prototype. Add the required code and run the application.

It is definately possible to add a menu to dialog box.

Select insert Menu option and select Resource optioin. It opens a menu wizard, Right click on the highlited area and add menu name also check whether it is a popup / normal menu then frame your menu and save it.
Go to the dialog resource and right click and select properties option. Here give the menu name in the combobox. which binds the user created menu to the dialog resource.

With warm regards,
