Hello I am trying to run AVI file sin a GL window, I am aware of the NEHE tutorial located here http://nehe.gamedev.net/data/lessons/lesson.asp?lesson=35.  The problem with it is it does not show how to process sound and when I try to load AVI files around 50 or so megs with it I get this error message:
Debugger Detected, Please Close it Down and Restart:
Windows NT users: Please note that having the WinIce/SoftIce service installed means you are running a debugger.
Any help or direction to any place that can help will be appreciated.

thanks in advance.

this could be a virus... check your system thorougly ...

If you find none, try closing all unnecessary applications and run it again ... a search shows that even divx 5.1 has led to such issues

So what was it?

You accepted the answer, but it was a virus or divx 5.1? restart or what?

Thanks!

I found it,

It was copy protection or whatever... Had something to do with what sunnycoder said, I changed to Uncompressed video and PCM audio and I can debug.

Regards.
