Thanks for your help this past summer on the Zope authentication problem.
I never did get in touch with the authors of XUF, nor the original authors of the application.
The client rendered the point moot by deciding to trash all the old code and do a rewrite.

Here's a small token of my thanks for your taking a look at the problem.
