How can I install SAP R/3 4.6b on my laptop with 800 MHz, 256 MB RAM and 40GB HDD on WIN 98 or 2000 or XP, for the purpose of studies and practices?

Since I'm new to SAP R/3 so I need to know the list of components required to install SAP R/3 4.6b package.

I need a complete step by step guidance on installation of each component(software) in sequential order.

Hellow AarkayCi,

On the first of all, do you have SAP R/3 ? If not, it is very difficult to get a SAP program. You can try to get SAP IDES from SAP if you are a SAP customer. Just go to service.sap.com

If you have SAP 4.6 B you have a little problem. The laptop you have is 800 mhz, that is to slow for SAP. You must have atleast 1,5 Ghz and 512 MB RAM. The SAP database will take 32 GB of space on your laptop. ( Oracle )
So try to install it at a other computer.

If you want to have an Installation Guide, put your mail address at the website and i will mail you a install guide.

The components required are atleast 8 cd`s ( With SAP IDES 4.6 C )

1: 1 Oracle Database CD
2: 1 SAP Kernel CD ( 4.6 b/c/d )
3: 6 Database Export CD`s.

With 4.6b it are 5 export cd`s i think.

Good luck and let me know more details please
