You mean the Outgoing. The Incoming Mail Server field is an input line and you can enter anything there. The Outgoing Mail Server is a pulldown menu and you can edit its contents with the Server Settings button. Of course, if your mail account IS a .mac account you should leave it as mail.mac.com.

Hi weed,

Forgot to mention that i'm using Panther.

Actually, i've just found out that i have specified the wrong Account Type in the first place, since it is not a .mac account and thats why it didnt let me change the Incoming Mail Server field.

But, now i've got another problem, that is, i can't take this newly created account online.  There is just no action when i choose "Take xxxxxxx online".  So, can you please help me on this?

thank you

When you take it online it doesnt mean it's going to check for mail. Just that its online and will check mail if scheduled to do so, or the Get Mail button is hit.
