Best method to make a mirror image using a pull-out drive.

System = Intel board with Intel Plll 800 cpu, 512 ram and the operating system is Win ME  Three HDDs “C” is 80G, “D” 40G and a 20 Gig  pull-out drive (to be used as mirror backing up 7 Gig ).  "C" is a 80 Gig.

What I am trying to accomplish is a full back up of everything (a mirror image) onto a pull-out drive so when my hard drive crashes I can just replace the bad hard drive with the pull-out drive and be up and running in a very short time. I also want to be able to do a differential backup once a week to keep the pull-out up to date. I don't mind buying Ghost if that is what is needed. I was hoping to use MS Backup though. I back up "my docs" once a week on CDRW and important files daily on CDRW as well.

Hi CrazyOne,

Thanks for the "hoard" of info :). I am going to go with Acronis TrueImage 6.0. I think it is pretty much what I need.
It will do a mirror to hard drives (my pull-out) and to CDRWs. Also it does differential backups to a second drive ( if i understood their promo on their web site).

Thanks once again.

I have posted this one a few times I think I put it together sometime this summer.
Ok, I was making the same kind of list because I couldn't find any, but you've beaten me ;-)
Use my list
I will ;-)
