Erase a tape..
Is there any way to erase a tape from the command line?
but first u have to rewind the tape.
mt rewind;
mt erase;
mt rewind;
mt erase;
on windows.
To erase a tape
Open Backup
On the Restore tab, click the tape you want to erase.
On the Tools menu, click Media Tools, and then click Erase

Its a windows based machine and id like to do it from the command line.
u can download mt port for windows and run mt command from windows.
