Filemaker Recipe Database using 3 tables.Need to 1.view Ingredients from Recipe table, and 2.add new ingredients.

I am creating a recipe database.
3 tables.
The first has a table of oils, with  oil1, oil2, etc
The second table has ingredients, named ingredient1, ingredient 2, etc
The 3rd table is the Recipe table, Recipe1, Recipe2, etc.
    Each recipe is made up of a combination of oils and ingredients
         eg, Recipe1  Oil1, Oil2,  Ingredient1, Ingredient5
              Recipe2   Oil2, Oil3,  Ingredient2, Ingredient5
1.I want to be able to view the list of ingredients and oils from the recipe table by having a drop list of ingredients and oils. (Maybe by validating the field to come from the value list of ingredients and oils?)  
2.I also want to be able to add new oils and ingredients, either from the recipe screen, or by being able to go to the ingredient table, adding the ingredient there and returning to the recipe table via a script.

Personally I would use the portal method to display your recipes.
