Is it simple to implement a mail merge facility into VB? How would one go about doing it?

I have a VB database program which is nearly completed and I was wondering how feasable it was to implement a mail merge facilty. How would I do this? Database is in Access.

I should think so, you'll need to use OLE automation to open Word and set up the data source etc., all doable with OLE and the Word Application object. I've not done it myself so I can't give you any further info, except to add the Word object to your project, and play with the object browser.

Presumably you want a mail merge from MS word..?
Simply (in Word) tools..Mail merge

Create your document then get data. You will be given the option to open Access databases, use MS Query etc.

Would you know if there is any way you can do it directly from VB, code etc? Its just that Im trying to make the application as userfriendly as possible and therefore, if everything can be done from the program that would be great. For example when they carry out a search for dealers in the north, it would be great to then obviously click a command button which takes them straight to word and ready to type the letter and print.
