how to create a flyer on the fly

Hi

I have a database (Oracle backend Access front end) that allows me to create specific flyers according to the criteria entered.  At the moment, I use a product called 4tops with the Access form that puts all of the database information into the template fields and then creates a merged Microsoft word document.  Not all fields are compulsory.

I am now at the point where I need to extend this facility to a web page.  I need some direction as to how to do this on the web.  I have had some experience with Cold Fusion and already have some pages from a different databse on the web using this.

any suggestions

use the access queries that are used to create the word document content as the basis of developing the necessary oracle queries, do the page layout to output the associated text/images etc you get from the queries into place in the appropriate locations

create the page layout first  if you are going to have 1 query fro each information section, eg:

if you have a four section one page flyer

----------------------------------------------
|Section 1 text      | Section 2 text       |
|Section 1 text      | Section 2 text       |
|Section 1 image   | Section 2 image   |
|Section 1 text      | Section 2 text       |
==========================
|Section 3 text      | Section 4 text       |
|Section 3 text      | Section 4 text       |
|Section 3 image   | Section 4 image   |
|Section 3 text      | Section 4 text       |
----------------------------------------------

if you can get all the info for all sections in one query you can loop through the query and generate the layout dynamically using tables and cfif to end one table an start a second as needed
