Hi I am doing some work in my university. I need some help with the problem given on the following website:

http://www.ee.ic.ac.uk/se1/consoleApps/week8/index.html

Please could you tell me how I could program such a problem using Delphi (pascal language) or give me some clues as to how I could go about the task.

Thank You

I am not very good in Math but I would make something like this:

procedure TForm1.Button1Click(Sender: TObject);
var
  j : Double;
begin
  j := -1;
  while True do
  begin
    j:= j + 0.00001;
    if ((1 - j) / 2) = 0.5 - (0.5 * j) then
    begin
      // You have found the value of J
      ShowMessage(FloatToStr(j));
    end;
  end;
end;
