Hi..
I read in some documentation, that the On-demand technology means, that the data will only be processed when needed.. (that is when it needs to be printed, or when you go to the place where the demand subreport is used)

What is supposed to happen when you check the "On-demand subreport" when you make a subreport.. ?? (I cannot see the subreport in preview mode, what should I do ?)

There should be a placeholder for the subreport.  Double-click it to preview it.

On-demand means when you ask for it by double clicking or in crystal terms drill-down not just going to the page.

According to Specification: "Evaluation times and the Two-Pass Report Processing Model" Page 5, "On Demand Architecture" is.. "As you scroll through the report, the subreports and the formatting are executed as you come across them..."

But sure Ok, "On Demand Subreport" is clearly another storry. that is cracy, thay must have been on drugs, or something when thay though about the arcithechtuer.

I think the idea was to provide the ability to present summary information but have the details readily available.

Another benefit is speed.  Since the subreport isn't processed until requested the report will load faster.
