I have an application (Total Recorder) which I am trying to run under 2000. Get the following error message:

"There is no real waveout audio driver on your computer."

Have tryed reinstalling Windows. Ther is no sound card, but Total Recorder is working on another Win 2k machine.
Does anyone know how I can install this driver?
Thanks,

Try a reinstall of total recorder.
From ....http://www.highcriteria.com/press_rel_TR42.htm
 .
"Other enhancements, including the ability to install Total Recorder without the Total Recorder sound driver. Choosing to install Total Recorder without the driver will restrict recording to Sound Board mode. Please be certain of your recording requirements, if you choose not to install the driver.

By default, the driver is always installed."

what do you mean .."ther is no sound card, but ...machine."

There is no sound card installed on either computer. I am using them as "slave" computers to download and convert music. Will try your reinstall idea.
Thanks,

Wrote High Criteria support:

Total Recorder yields this Error message because no soundcard driver is
installed in your system.

You need to find and install the suitable soundcard driver. Most often you
can find it on the CD that was supplied with your soundcard. Alternatively,
you can try to find the driver on the Internet or contact the
supplier/manufacturer of your soundcard.
