VBscript, F5 not refreshing and tab not going to next form field

For some reason I am having a weird problem in my script.  this does not happen all the time, but every so often it does.  What is happening is that all of a sudden I can't hit F5 to refresh the page.  I have to hit the IE refresh button.  Also, hitting tab does not go to the next form field and hitting enter does not submit a form.  The only way to fix this is to start a new session of IE.   I am running a lot of vbscript on the page and I have embedded an activeX control.  This is written in ASP and VBScript

Hi,

I think with IE, it probably happens due to the time-stampping of a page. Rather than clicking the IE refresh button, you could just press CTRL+F5 buttons. This would be similar to clicking the button and will get a new copy of the server.

Does this help?

No, that does not help.  I need to figure out how to fix it.  I need users to be able to refresh the page without having to do anything special.  Most of these users are not very good with this kind of stuff

Well, i can think of two other options,

1) Have a link for users to click to refresh
2) Programmically refresh the page, say every 15mins or so.

One thing you can make sure that will allow users to do a full refresh is by NOT caching the page(s). This can be done with the no-cache meta tags. This makes sure that the page is not cached on the users' machine as well as the proxy servers.
