I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Open outlook
go to file --> data management
you should see settings there
click on that and you should be able to set password there.. if this is the first time you are setting password leave the old password blank and give new password twice..

Also by this way user can open outlook only if he knows the password.

Apart from that donot save the password for the email accounts that you set..

You need to create identity in outlook express

open outlook express

go to file --> identity --> add new identity
now create a new name and create password..
Once everything is done come out and when you logoff or exit out of outlook express do this.
Just donot close outlook express ., go to file and say "exit and logoff".

If you just close using the X button on the top right , next time when you open OE , it wont ask for password.

So exit and log off.. If you dont find exit and logoff in file , then it means you have not created your identity properly
