Windows Applications or Update problem

Dear All,
Today, Windows applications such as Word 97, Access 97, Visual Basic 6 and etc are not running properly (not responding). While i execute this program, it responses for a moment after long time not responding.

These program did work fine yesterday. Pls note that windows has been automatically updated in this machine. After updating, today i have re-started this machine. Maybe, there is problem in automatic update.

Is there any soluation? Pls help me.

The best you can do is go to windows update page. On the left you should see installation history.
It would list you the updates that you have recently updated.. Note down that. Go to control panel --> add/remove programs
and try those security patches or updates.. Restart the machine and check to see if everything is fine. If yes , we can then research on those ....

Also have you tried reinstalling your office package ?
