I am using apache tomcat 4.0.
When I start the server in Windows a window pops up. I can use System.out.println in java beans and it gets displayed on the server window. its really usful for debugging. But when I launch the apache server in Linux no such window pops up so i can't see any messages. Where can I see the messages which I have given in java beans. It is very hard to debug otherwise.
Plz help

Apache error messages get logged to the Apache error log file. The log file name and location is configured in httpd.conf, as is the logging level.

Similarly, Tomcat writes its error messages to a log file, and the filename/location and logging level is determined by the Tomcat configuration.
