Exchange migration to a new server with a different name

I am being tasked with migrating our Exchange 5.5 server to a new box with a different host name. So far I have used the move mailbox tool and it has worked flawlessly. Both servers are EX5.5 with SP4, and the original server will be decommissioned after the migration occurs.
My question is: by virtue of moving the mailboxes, is the database moved? Once all mailboxes are moved and I create all the new connections is there any other gotcha's?
Does anyone know of any good articles for the task I have at hand?

I wear a lot of hats...

"The solutions and answers provided on Experts Exchange have been extremely helpful to me over the last few years. I wear a lot of hats - Developer, Database Administrator, Help Desk, etc., so I know a lot of things but not a lot about one thing. Experts Exchange gives me answers from people who do know a lot about one thing, in a easy to use platform." -Todd S.

Can you tell me what tool you used? I know exmerge which works really good. If you moved the mailboxes within the Exchange administrator, there should be no problem after you shutdown the "old" server except if you have some 3th party plugins for exchange on that server (GFI Faxmaker or Groupshield or software like that) I have moved 2 companies like that (with the move mailbox in the exchange administrator) and it worked like a charm. To be totally sure you can always make .pst files of the mailboxes with EXMERGE. (A resource kit utility)

Hope this will answers your question.
