Asp.net - Reading cursor position in text box

I need to insert some text at the current cursor position inside a text box. I understand that there is a text.insert method but how do I tell it to insert at current cursor position.

Also, does anyone know if there is any equivalent of the visual basoc .selstart .sellength methods.
