Hi, we have Exchange 5.5 with the clients using Outlook 2000.

Delivery receipts and Read receipts are sent automatically. We need to disable this for one particular user/machine/account, whatever you want to call it.

Anyone know how ?

Bottom line, we have one user account on Exchange that we never want a delivery or read receipt to be sent from, ever.

Any ideas ?

Hi JamesMonaghan

Unfortunately with Exchange 5.5 handling the incoming email, there is no way to disable replying to read and delivery receipts.  Exchange 2k, yes.

If your user is using POP3 for his email, then you can change the option though Tools>Options>Email Options>Tracking Options

Is there a registry edit trick I could do on the particular client PC (running Win98) to do the job or anything ?

Could I perhaps remove one of the services (IMAP4) from the users account within Exchange 5.5 ?
