Remember E-mail Address

When I go to compose an e-mail address and type the first couple of letters of the first name, Outlook used to finish the e-mail name or address for me.  Now it doesn't.  Where is this option stored?

This is quoted from the Outlook help do just the opposited of what it says

Turn off automatic name checking and completion
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Click E-Mail Options.
Click Advanced E-Mail Options.
Do one or more of the following:
Turn off automatic name checking

Under When sending a message, clear the Automatic name checking check box.
Turn off automatic completion of e-mail names

Under When sending a message, clear the Suggest names while completing To, Cc, and Bcc fields check box.

Automatic name completion is not available in Outlook 2000 just like you said.  I was able to get it to work by using the name resolution feature.  Microsoft knowledge base article - 296407
