Hello all,

Im looking to start building/making my own games, i come from a web programming background (vb,javascript,sql,c#,vb.net)
I know a little bit of C+, but not enough.

1.So where is the best to start?
2.I would like to go into 3d gaming (like how Halflife, Maxpayne are built/what software do they use to build the characters)
3I know this is probley way out of my league(but i would still like to know)

They probably use 3D Studio max or something like that to create the characters... as of where to start... not sure, i'm just browsing the board!

oh btw... there is a very intense learning curve for game programming, especially on the max payne, half life level... it takes teams of programmers years to create games like that.
