I will be using Direct 3D in the coming months to create  better graphics in the display module of an application currently in development using MFC. I have never programmed 3D graphics before and was wondering what are the best web sites, books , resources etc to get development info on Direct 3D?
Thanks

I have been using the following resources. They teach you about the DirectX API, and how to use it.

Along the way they teach you about Matrices (Transforming 3D coordinates). You also would want to learn about Vectors, Matrices and other maths.

http://www.drunkenhyena.com/docs/directx.phtml
http://www.gamedev.net/ <-- Not alot of DirectX9, but old versions where math still apply.

When you begin learning, use the D3DX library, its somewhat of a wrapper for general things in DirectX (such as matrices).

Cheers!
