hello people :)
I am looking for a way to make Transparent controls (alpha blended)

The controls i want to make transparent is TImage, TEdit, TShape...
TImage (i mean transparent : you see the controls behind it + the image itself, like translucent)

I am not interrested in removing the background (canvas.brush := BsClear) but i want to see a glimps of what is behind the control.
this is possible using Tforms with Alphablend := true, but can i do the same with Tedit, TShape etc etc ?
also TImage (if possible)

please help ! ..

There is information here about capturing the background of a control that you may be able to use to achieve what you want:

The link would now be http://www.experts-exchange.com/Programming/Languages/Pascal/Delphi/Q_20137617.html

The code and discussion is five years old, but some of it is still relevant
