Hi, I also had the same problem. I found the solution was to use a patch cable from video card out to the sound card in. And I had to go in the burning software and select "line in" for audio source. Hope this helps.

How exactly would you route a VGA video signal into a sound card analog audio port?  That would be quite a feat.

Sorry it didn't work out better...maybe the problem just lies in the source video...have you tried other AVIs?

Tried other AVI's - some work, some don't. Low quality video source seems to be the problem. I have learn't alot from this though. Thanks.

Well hopefully it will work out better in the future.  At least now you have a good knowledge of getting around with video editing :)
