in FLash mx i have this code
on (release) {
if (Number(getProperty("Scroll/Text",_y)) > (-551)) {

setProperty("Scroll/Text", _y, getProperty("Scroll/Text", _y)-100);

}else{
setProperty("Scroll/Text", _y, getProperty("Scroll/Text", _y)-0);
}
}
all it does is relocated the y axis of the masked movie clip..
to see it.. http://members.optusnet.com.au/chizzy/newport2.html then go to portfolio.
i want to make it smoother. i thought by adding a for loop
eg
curr=(Number(getProperty("Scroll/Text",_y))
for(x=curr;x<curr-100;x--){
setProperty("Scroll/Text", _y, getProperty("Scroll/Text", _y)-x);
}
but this doesnt work.. is there any other way
any help would be greatly appreciated
